The KLX450R’s powerplant comes directly from our mighty KX450F motocrosser. To transform the liquid-cooled 449 cc KX450F power unit into an off-road racing winner, the highly acclaimed engine was tuned for maximum low- and mid-range performance. The result is a wide spread of responsive, high-traction torque and superior throttle control for low-speed maneuvering. The numerous modifications consider the variety of conditions riders face in open-course racing and also contribute enhanced durability and reliability to ensure that both man and machine reach the finish line.

KLX 250 S

The KLX250S is powered by a compact liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine. With a bore and stroke of 72 x 61.2 mm, the engine displaces 249 cc and a flat-top piston combined with a pentroof combustion chamber deliver an 11:1 compression ratio. Frame and chassis components based on the KLX300R are the source of the KLX250S’s high-level of off-road performance. The KLX250’s box and tubular-section high-tensile steel perimeter frame creates a slim, lightweight package. The 27.5o steering head angle and short wheelbase contribute to quick handling, while the high rigidity of the frame ensures straight-line stability.

Super Sherpa

2010 Kawasaki - Super Sherpa
Specially tuned for low end and mid-range torque the Super Sherpa’s 249cc, 4-valve, 4-stroke, single cylinder engine is based on the long-proven KLX300R engine. Engine is air cooled for light weight, simplicity, and affordability. State-of-the-art dual overhead cams and 4-valve head offers better breathing than 2-valve competitors. The improved breathing allows for more power at high rpm without compromising low end torque. Bright 60/55 halogen headlights, fully digital display dash, M-F battery, and strong 15 Amp charging system put the Super Sherpa ahead of the competition. Long, comfortable seat has plenty of room to take along a friend. Semi-double cradle frame is made of hi-tech, round section, high tensile steel, the same strong yet light-weight material used in our world-class motocross bikes.
