delivery, improved handling, and a quieter exhaust system.
Liquid-cooled 450cc four-valve Unicam engine produces more than 125.3 hp per litre
If you’ve always considered second place to be the first loser, then you certainly don’t want to settle for second best with your ride. You want the bike that revolutionized open-class motocross. You want a Honda CRF450R. For 2012 the mighty CRF450R boasts a bunch of improvements, all designed to keep you on top of the box. Stronger fork outer tubes and axle collars, stiffer fork springs and revised suspension settings all help to improve front-end tracking. Out back, a new shock linkage and revised shock calibration give you even more confidence over rough terrain. New footpegs are wider and longer for better support, and premium Dunlop MX51 tires provide further proof that the CRF450R doesn’t scrimp on quality components. Because when fractions of a second separate winner from loser, only the best will do.

Numerous updates to both the engine and the chassis help the CRF250R become an even better-balanced performer than ever.
All-new, more-compact liquid-cooled 250cc four-valve Unicam engine
Perfect balance. In a ski racer, it can lead to faster runs. In a motocross bike, it can lead to shorter lap times. The Honda CRF250R can’t help your skiing, but it sure can help you to fill up your trophy shelf in a big hurry. A new cylinder head and camshaft combined with a new 46 mm throttle body in the battery-less Programmed Fuel Injection (PGM-FI) system produce a broader powerband with more low-end and midrange torque. But thrilling engine performance is just half of the CRF250R’s winning formula – its chassis, in perfect balance with the new engine characteristics, gives you the extra confidence you need to drive deeper into corners and power harder through the whoops. For 2012, a new rear suspension linkage along with updated settings front and rear make this great-handling bike an even bigger threat on the track. Plus, we know you’ll love the longer and wider footpegs and the premium Dunlop MX51 tires.

The CRF150R is the first four-stroke in
its class, with a 149 cc Unicam engine that
produces the same sort of broad powerband
and meaty low-end torque as the bigger
CRFs. Power comes on less abruptly
compared to a two-stroke engine, there’s less
shifting required, and even the enhanced
engine braking helps when diving into
corners. Of course, there’s no messy mixing
of gas and oil required, and the CRF150R
is even easier on the environment than a
comparable two-stroke motocross bike.
The CRF150R gives you all the
advantages of four-stroke power, plus the
handling benefits of a high-tech semidouble
cradle frame with aluminum
swingarm and fully adjustable Showa
suspension. And everywhere you look you’ll
see the same high quality and excellent fit and
finish as on all Honda CRFs.
